It is with a mix of heartfelt gratitude and a touch of sadness that we announce the closing of our South Salem (The Taphouse) location after 13 wonderful years. The shifting economy and our commitment to meeting everyone’s needs have led us to make this difficult decision.
We cannot express enough how much we have appreciated your visits, your smiles, your laughter, and even your tears over the years. Each moment shared with you has been a treasured part of our journey. Please share those wings photos with us too. We love seeing each and every one of them.
As we close this chapter, we are excited to continue our story at our downtown location. Returning to our roots, we are thrilled to remain a part of Salem’s vibrant downtown community. Our downtown location is near abundant, free parking, both on-street and in the Chemeketa Parkade, just footsteps from our front door. We are currently open 5 days a week and are hoping to expand that very soon. We also have an exciting new menu format that we know you will love as much as we do!
Thank you for being a part of our family and for your unwavering support. We look forward to welcoming you at our downtown restaurant and creating many more wonderful memories together.

Karaoke Thursdays changing time to 8pm for a few months
One of our best loved events is Karaoke hosted by Robert Huston. For a few months, we’re changing the time to 8-11 pm on Thursdays. Same day, just later start.
Participants range from die-hard regulars to drop ins and sing anything that Robert can find on the World Wide Web. Leslie likes dumb 80s songs like Footloose and has to restrain herself from going up too much whereas there are plenty of singers who have passion and talent and blow us all out of the water. Haha. Back in June we had a Prince night that was epic and we often pair up with area businesses or groups to host them for team building and fun.

Venti’s welcomes World Beat Festival
We love SUMMER in Salem. One of the coolest events downtown this summer is the annual World Beat Festival, June 29 -30. We try to go each day of the weekend and some of our favorite things include the amazing live music, the super powerful dragon boat races, and of course the food! A highlight from last summer was the opportunity to learn a dance with Salem International Folk Dancers. 🙌
The beloved World Beat festival started as a grassroots effort of community members to celebrate cultural diversity in Salem. As it grew in purpose, the founders created the Salem Multicultural Institute. Check out their story on their web site. An interesting piece of Salem history, “The inaugural Salem World Beat Festival was held in conjunction with the grand opening of Salem's long-awaited Riverfront Park on June 27-28, 1998“ How cool is that? So much to celebrate. Some of us don’t even know Salem without the Riverfront Park or the World Beat Festival.
Venti’s will be open regular hours during the weekend. We’re one block from Riverfront Park! Come in for quick, tasty and healthy food and cold beverages at Venti’s.

We’re celebrating 20 years of BRMBA!
Join us June 1st for a day of shuttling at Black Rock and an evening of partying at Salem’s Historic Grand Theatre with a short film by Freehub. Following the film, we’ll jam out to some tunes from the band @spacemesa, then head to Venti’s.
All proceeds will go to the Black Rock Trail System to maintain the trails we all love!
